Hii friend,

X +2Y = 2........(1)

2X +PY = 5......(2)

These equations are in the form of AX1+BY1+C2 and AX2+BY2+C2.

Where,

A1 = 1 , B1 = 2 and C1 = -2

AND,

A2= 2 , B2 = P , C2 = -5

For a no solution we must have,

A1/A2 = B1/B2 is not equal to C1/C2.

1/2 = 2/P is not equal to -2/-5

=> 1/2 = 2/P and 2/P not = -2/-5

=> P = 4 and -2P = -10

=> P= 4 and P not= -10/-2 not = 5

Clearly P = 4

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU.... :-)
