Hey mate here is ur answer!!!!
D=b²-4ac =0 (given)
a=1 b=-p c=9
=> (-p²) -4(1)(9)
=> p² -36 (36 can be written as 6²) then,
=> p²-6²
Using identity a²-b² = (a+b) (a-b)
=> (p+6) (p-6)
=> p+6 =0 and p-6=0
=> p=0-6 = -6 and p=0+6= 6
=> therefore p= 6 or -6
Hope it helps uhh!!!!
