HEY THERE!!

Question;-

Find the value of p for which the quadratic equation have equal roots x^2-px+9=0?

Method of Solution;-

Given;-

Equation have equal roots x^2-px+9=0.

Using Discriminant!!

For Equal roots Discriminant must be 0.

Hence, Discriminant = 0

We know that D = b²-4ac

Substitute the Required terms in Equation;

D= b²-4ac

=> (p)²-4.1.9 = 0

=>p²-36 = 0

•°• P = ±√36

•°• P = 6,-6

Conclusion;-

Required value of P = 6,-6
