Y/2=x-p
=> 2x-2p=y
=> 2x-y-2p=0
If points (-4,4) passes through given line it will satisfy given eq. Put x= -4 , y = 4
=> 2(-4)-(4)-2p=0
=> -8-4-2p=0
=> -2p= 12
=> p= -6 answer
