Since,

 {a}^{x}  \times  {a}^{y}  =  {a}^{x + y}

Then,

 =  >  {( \frac{2}{5}) }^{3 + 6}  =   {( \frac{2}{5})   }^{2p + 1}

As the bases are same,

=> 3 + 6 = 2p + 1

=> 9 = 2p + 1

=> 9 - 1 = 2p

=> 2p = 8

 =  > p =  \frac{8}{2}

=> p = 4 (Ans)
