To find: We have to find the value of p.

Solution:

The expression is p+5=3.

To find the value of p we have to place the numbers at right side and substrate 5 from 3.

By bringing the numbers in right side we will get-

p+5=3

p=3-5

p=-2

So, the value of p is -2.
