px+4y-3=0 & x+2y+4=0 are parallel lines

so, \frac{a1}{a2} = \frac{b1}{b2} \neq \frac{c1}{c2}

a1 = p; a2 = 1, b1 = 4; b2 = 2, c1 = -3; c2 = 4

\frac{p}{1} = \frac{4}{2} \neq \frac{-3}{4}

\frac{p}{1} = \frac{4}{2}

 p  = 2
