if all these terms are consecutive then the common difference between these numbers will be same
let a1 = x, a2 = 2x + p, a3 = 3x + 6
now a2 - a1 = a3 - a2
( 2x + p ) - (x) = (3x +6 ) - (2x + p)
open all these brackets
2x + p - x = 3x + 6 - 2x - p
x + p = x - p + 6
2p = 6
p = 3
