x = -2

Putting the value of x in given equation,

=> x⁴ -3x³ -px - 5 = 23

=> (-2)⁴ - 3(-2)³ - (-2)p - 5 = 23

=> 16 -3(-8) +2p = 23 + 5

=> 16 + 24 + 2p = 28

=> 40 + 2p = 28

=> 2p = 28-40

=> 2p = -12

=> p = -12/2

=> p = -6

➡➡Here is your answer ✔✔

➡Soln-- f(x)= x^4-3x^3-px-5=23

➡f(-2)=(-2)^4 -3(-2)^3 -p(-2) -5=23

➡= 16-3(-8)+2p-5=23

➡= 16+24+2p-5=23

➡= 40-5+2p=23

➡= 35+2p=23

➡= 2p=23-35

➡= 2p= -12

➡p = -12/2

➡p = -6 ✔✔✔
