Find the value of 'p' if x+3 is a factor of 2x^3-3 px^2+p+3.

Hey Mate ,

Here is the answer ,

If  (x+3) is a factor of 2x³ -3px² + p + 3 .

Then putting x = -3 will give result as 0.


2(-3)³ - 3p(-3)² + p + 3 = 0

=> 2*(-27) - 27p + p + 3 = 0

=> -54 - 26p + 3 = 0

=> -51 = 26p

=>  p = -51
             26
