y=1/2

putting Y= 1/2 in the equation

p(1/2)= 8(1/2)^4-16(1/2)^2+4(1/2)^3+p+10(1/2) =0

8(1/16)-16(1/4)+4(1/8)+p+10(1/2)

1/2-4+1/2+p+5 =0

1+1+p=0

2+p=0

p= -2
