Given : p(x) = 2  + x  + 2x² - x³

To Find : Value at x  = 2

Solution :

p(x) = 2  + x  + 2x² - x³

x = 2

p(2) = 2 + 2  + 2(2)² - 2³

2³ = 8

2² = 4

⇒ p(2) = 2 + 2  + 2(4) - 8

⇒ p(2) = 4  +8 - 8

⇒ p(2) = 4

p(2) = 4

Value of p(x) = 2  + x  + 2x² - x³   at x = 2 is 4
