polynomial p(x) = + 2x + 1

  • When x = 1
  • (1)² + 2(1) + 1
  • 1 + 2 + 1
  • 4

  • When x= 2
  • (2)² + 2(2) + 1
  • 4 + 4 + 1
  • 9

Case 1:-

When x is 1.

✔ x²+2x+1

✔ (1)² + 2x1 + 1

✔ 1 + 2 + 1

4

  • So when x is 1 the value is 4.

---------------------------

Case 2:-

When x is 2.

✔ x²+2x+1

✔ (2)² + 2(2) + 1

✔ 4 + 4 + 1

9

  • So when x is 2 the value is 9.

➦ There are some degrees of polynomial like 1, 2, 3 are called linear , quadratic and cubic polynomial.

➦ The real number where it is value of that equation is called as zero of polynomial. Ex:- Here in this equation 1,2 are zeroes.
