as we know the from remainder theorem

p(x) = R

where R is remainder of polynomial

Now,

given, x-1 =0

or, x = 1

so,we can write 1 in place of x in the polynomial

again,

R =3x^2 - 4x +12

or, R = 3×(1^2) - 4×1 + 12

or, R = 3 - 4 +12

or, R = 11

Hence, the value of R is 11 .
