Hi !
p(x) = 3x²- k√3x +4
a = 3 , b = -k√3 , c = 4
As the equation has equal roots,
b² - 4ac = 0
that is ,
(-k√3)² - 4*3*4 = 0
3k² - 48 = 0
3(k² - 16) = 0
k² - 16 = 0
k² = 16
k = √16
k = ± 4
