Sec 70° = sec ( 90° - 20° )

= cosec 20° [·.· sec (90 - θ) = cosec θ ]

Sin 59° = sin (90° - 31°)

= cos 31° [·.· sin (90 - θ) = cos θ ]

=> cosec 20/cosec 20+cos 31°/cos 31°

= 1+1=2
