In a right triangle ABC base angle ,30° ,apex angle=90°–30° =60° let base is 1 , perpendicular is x, Therefore sin30°= x/hypotenuse=1/2 ,or hypotenuse=2x,cos 30 =1/2x,x^2+1=4x^2 or x=1/√3 Therefore

cos 30°=√3/2,sin60°=cos30°( by orientation base at perpendicular) therefore sin60°+cos30°=2×√3/2=√3 (answer)
