tan(1050°) = tan(1080° - 30°)

tan(3 * 360° - 30°) = -tan30° (tan (n ∙ 360° - θ) = - tan θ)

= -1/√3

Given:

A trigonometric function tan (1050°)

To Find:

The value of the above function.

Solution:

The given problem can be solved using the concepts of trigonometry.

1. The given trigonometric term is tan (1050°)

2. According to the properties of trigonometry,

=> tan ( 360 + x ) = tanx.

3. Using the property mentioned above we can find the value of tan (1050°)

=> tan (1050°) = tan(360 + 690) = tan (690°),

=> tan (690°) = tan (360 + 330) = tan(330°),

4. The value of tan(330°) is,

=>tan(330°) = tan(360 - 30) = -tan(30°) = -(1)/(√3)

Hence, the value of tan(1050°) is -1/(√3).
