To get the solution for your question, we cannot solve it directly since its against the law of exponents.

So for that, first you need to change the sign of the constant which is in power.

Standard Formula ::

x^(-n)

= 1/(x^n)

So it can be seen from the above equation how the sign of the power is reversed once it is taken at the denominator position.

Just like that only,

2^(-3)

= 1/(2³)

=1/8
