Find the value of
p(x) =  {x}^{3} + 2 {x}^{2}- 7x + 3
at
x =  \frac{1}{2}
and
x =  - 3

When x=1/2

p(\frac{1}{2})=(\frac{1}{2})^3+2(\frac{1}{2})^2-7(\frac{1}{2}+3 \\ \\ =\frac{1}{8}+2(\frac{1}{4})-\frac{7}{2}+3 \\ \\ =\frac{1}{8}+\frac{2}{4}-\frac{7}{2}+3 \\ \\ =\frac{1+4-28+24}{8} \\ \\=\frac{1}{8}

When x=-3

p(-3)=(-3)^3+2(-3)^2-7(-3)+3 \\ =-27+2(9)+21+3 \\ =-27+18+21+3 \\ =15
