Solution:

r_{1} + r_{2}= A = 30\°

r_{2}  = 30\° ( r_{1} = 0\°)

From Snell's law,

\sqrt{3} sinr2 = 1 * sine

\sqrt{3} sin30\° = sine

e = 60\°

Hence, we get the value of the angle of emergence from the prism e = 60\°

ng=√3

To find:

he angle of emergence from the prism

Solution:

Refrective index of a glass ng =√3

sin i = 0

According to shell's law

\frac{sin i}{ sin r} =\frac{ng}{na}

but sin i=sin 0= 0

thus sin r = 0

applying snell's law

sin 30°/sin e =na/ng=1/√3

sin e=√3×sin30=√3/21

Hence, e=60 °

the angle of emergence from the prism is 60°
