The value of the reflected angle be 40 degree only
Because according to the law of reflection
Incident angle is equal to the reflected angle

but I feel it is wrong answer because in order to find angle of reflection we should first know the angle of incidence.in this case the incident Ray makes an angle of 40°with a plane mirror so the angle of incidence is not 40°.the angle of incidence is the angle between incident Ray and normal.so in this case the angle of incidence will be 90°-40°=50° since angle of incidence is 50° so angle of reflection is 50°
