Answer:

This is in the format a*b + a*c = a(b+c)   (distributive law)

where a =297 , b= 17 ,c =3

Therefore ,297 x 17 +297x3 =

297 (17+3)

=297*20

=5940

Hope this helps .

let's solve this according to BODMAS RULE

297 × 17 + 297 × 3

→ 5049 + 891

→ 5940

NOTE :-

  • BODMAS is a short form for Brackets, Of, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction.
  • According to Bodmas rule, if an expression contains brackets ( ( ) , { } , [ ] ) we have to first solve or simplify the bracket followed by of (powers and roots etc.), then division, multiplication, addition and subtraction from left to right.
  • Solving the problem in the wrong order will result in a wrong answer.
  • It is also the order of how Microsoft Excel works out how to perform the order of calculations.
