⇒ 2 × ( - 2 )³ - 3 × ( - 2 )² + 7 × ( -2 ) + 5

⇒ 2 × ( - 8 ) - 3 × 4 + ( - 14 ) + 5

⇒ - 16 - 12 - 14 + 5

⇒ - 42 + 5

⇒ - 37

Hence, the value of the polynomial 2x³ - 3x² + 7x + 5 is ( - 37 ).
