Given polynomial p(x)=4x²−5x+3

We need to find value of polynomial at x=2.

Replace x by 1/2, we get

p(1/2)=4(1/2)²−5(2)+3

⇒p(1/2)=4×1/4−(5×1/2)+3

⇒p(1/2)=1−5/2+3

⇒p(2)= 3/2

  • p(x) = 4x² - 5x + 3
  • put x = ½ , ( to find p(x) )

then ,

p(x) = 4(½)² - 5(½) + 3 = 4(¼) - 5/2 + 3

= 1 + 3 - (5/2) = 4 - (5/2) = (8-5)/2 = 3/2

  • when x = ½ , p(x) = 3/2
