Given:-

  • A polynomial is given to us.
  • The polynomial is 5x - 4x² + 3at .

To Find:-

  • The value of polynomial at x =0 , x = 1 and x = 2 .

Solution:-

The given polynomial is 5x - 4x² + 3at .

(i) At x = 0 :

➳ p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3at .

➥ p(0) = 5 × 0 - 4 × 0² + 3at .

➥ p(0) = 0 - 0 + 3at .

➥ p(0) = 3at .

(ii) At x = 1 :

➳ p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3at .

➥ p(1) = 5 × 1 - 4 × 1² + 3at .

➥ p(1) = 5 - 4+ 3at .

➥ p(1) = 1 + 3at .

(iii) At x = 2 :

➳ p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3at .

➥ p(2) = 5 × 2 - 4 × 2² + 3at .

➥ p(2) = 10 - 16 + 3at .

➥ p(2) = -6 + 3at .

➥ p(2) = 3( at - 2 )

Answer:

5(1) - 4(1) + 2 + 3at = 5 - 4 + 2 + 3at ( 1 + 2 + 3at) = 3 + 3at = 0 (3at = - 3 }= at = - 3 \frac{3}{?} = at = - 1
