Sol : Let p(x) = 4x2

– 5x + 3

If x = 0, then

p(0) = 4(0)2

– 5(0) + 3

= 0 – 0 + 3

= 3

ii) x = - 1

Sol : Let p(x) =4x2

– 5x + 3

If x = -1, then

p(-1) = 4(-1)2

– 5(-1) + 3

= 4 + 5 + 3

= 12

iii) x = 2

Sol : Let p(x) =4x2

– 5x + 3

If x = 2, then

p(2) = 4(2)2

– 5(2) + 3

= 4(4) – 5(2) + 3

= 16 – 10 + 3

= 19 – 10

= 9
