Hey , there is a mistake in your question. y 2 has to be replaced by y².

Sol : p ( y ) = y² - 5 y + 6.

Given y = -1.

p ( y ) = y² - 5 y + 6

p( -1 ) = ( - 1 )² - 5 ( - 1 ) + 6

p ( - 1 ) = 1 + 5 + 6

p ( - 1 ) = 12.
