Step-by-step explanation:

a. We know that, opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal.

So, angle y = angle A= 70°

We also know that, all interior angles of a quadrilateral sum upto 360°

So, angle z + angle x

= 360° - angle y + angle A

= 360°-(2×70)°

= 360°-140°

= 220°

So, angle x = angle z = (220/2)°

= 110°

Therefore, x = 110°

y = 70°

z = 110°

b. We know that, opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal.

So, angle y = angle C = 60°

We also know that sum of adjacent angles of a parallelogram is 180°.

So, angle y + angle z = 180

or, 60 + angle z = 180

or, angle z = 180 - 60

or, angle z = 120

Now, AD || BC and, CD is transversal.

So, angle C = angle x = 60°

Therefore, x = 60°

y = 60°

z = 120°
