2x+3 is a factor
To get the value of x
2x+3=0
x=-3/2
The equation is
P(x)=2x3+9x2-x-v
Putting the value of x in the equation
P(-3/2)=2(-3/2)3+9(-3/2)2-(-3/2)-v=0
The equation will be equal to zero on putting the value of x as it is a factor of the equation.
P(-3/2)= 2(-3/8)+9(9/4)+3/2-v=0
=-3/4+81/4+3/2-v=0
=84/4-v=0
v=84/4
