5x=180°

x=180°/5=36°

2.35+x+60=180

95+x=180

x=180-95

x=85°

3.x+10+x+x+20=180

3x+30=180

3x=180-30

x=150/3

x=50°

4.60+4x+40=180

100+4x=180

4x=180-100

x=80/4

x=20°

in all the above solutions, the property used is angle sum property of a straight line. according to it, the sum of all angles lying in a straight line is 180°.

hope it helps.

  1. 3x + 2x = 180. ( linear pair)

5x = 180

x= 36°

2. 35 + 60 + x = 180.

95 + x = 180

x= 85.

3. x+ ( x+10) + (x+20) = 180

3x + 30 = 180

3x = 150

x= 50°

4.. POS is a straight line

sum of angles is 180

60+40+4x = 180

4x + 100 = 180

4x = 80

x= 20.
