Find the value of x^2+y^2, if (x+y)^2 = 101 and the value of xy = 15​

Answer:

 {(x + y)}^{2}  = 101 \\

 {x}^{2}  + 2xy +  {y}^{2}  = 101

 {x}^{2}  + 2(15) +  {y}^{2}  = 101

x^2+30+y^2=101

x^2+y^2=101-30

x^2+y^2=71
