Find the value of x^2+y^2 if x-y=2and x+y=3

x + y = 3. - - - ( l )

x - y = 2. - - - ( 'll )

by adding the equations ( l ) & ( 'll ) we get

2x = 5

x = 2.5

putting x = 2.5 in equation ( l ) we get

2.5 + y = 3

y = 3 - 2.5

y = 0.5

x^2 + y^2 = (2.5)^2 + (0.5)^2

= 6.25 + 0.25

= 6.50

so your required answer is 6.50
