As we know a line divides a plane into two parts. A whole angle is 360 degrees, and therefore a line will divide it into 180 degrees.

The angle on a line is the sum of each angle

→ Three angles 2x+10°, 3x-10°, 40° have a sum of 180°

→ 2x+10° + 3x-10° + 40° = 180°

→ After simplifying, we get x=28.

We know a straight angle = 180°

So from question :

180° = (2x + 10°) + (3x-10°) + 40°

180° = 2x + 10° + 3x - 10° + 40°

180° = 5x + 40°

5x = 180°-40°

5x = 140°

x = 140°/5

x = 28°
