,(17)2 = (15)2+(PQ)2

289= 225+(PQ)2

289-225 = (PQ)2

√64= (PQ)2

PQ=8cm

therefore x=8 cm

So PR is Hypotenuse.

So (PR)^2= (PQ)^2 + (RQ)^2....... PYTHAGORAS THEOREM.

17^2= X^2 + 15^2

289= X^2 + 225

X^2 = 289-225

X^2 = 64

So by taking square root on both sides X = 8

I. e PQ = 8.
