angle 60° and its nearby 2 angles will form a linear pair which means they will sum up to 180° .

Let us name the two angles near the 60° as 2n

Then , = 60° + 2n = 180°

= 2n = 180° - 60° = 120° ( transposing +60 from LHS to RHS makes +60 to -60 )

= 2n = 120°

= n = 120° ÷ 2 ( transposing ×2 from LHS to RHS makes ×2 to ÷2 )

= n = 60°

angle n and angle x are corresponding angles which means their value will be equal . Hence the value of x will be 60°

Therefore , x = 60°
