 Given \: simple \: equation : 2x - 13 = 5

/* Add bothsides by 13 , we get */

\implies 2x - 13 + 13 = 5 + 13

 \implies 2x = 18

/* Dividing each term by 2 , we get */

 \implies \frac{2x}{2} = \frac{18}{2}

 \implies x = 9

 ii) Given \: 5x+11+4x-5=3x+24

 \implies 9x + 6 = 3x + 24

/* Subtract bothsides by 6, we get */

 \implies 9x + 6 - 6 = 3x + 24 - 6

 \implies 9x  = 3x + 18

/* Subtract bothsides by 3x , we get */

 \implies 9x - 3x  = 3x + 18 - 3x

 \implies 6x  =  18

/* Dividing each term by 6, we get */

 \implies \frac{6x}{6}  =  \frac{18}{6}

 \implies x  =  3
