As per the given equation,

5 \sqrt{5} x + 2 = 2

Here, Left Hand Side(LHS) is 5 \sqrt{5}x + 2.

And, Right Hand Side(RHS) is 2.

Subtracting 2 from both sides LHS(Left Hand Side) and RHS (Right Hand Side):

\Rightarrow 5 \sqrt{5} x + 2 - 2 = 2 - 2\\\Rightarrow 5 \sqrt{5} x = 0

Dividing both sides from 5\sqrt{5}:

\Rightarrow \dfrac{5 \sqrt{5} x}{5 \sqrt{5}}=\dfrac{0}{5 \sqrt{5}}

Rule: We know that, dividing 0 by any number n always gives us 0.

\Rightarrow x = 0

The Left Hand Side (5 \sqrt{5}x + 2) can be equal to RHS (2) only when x = 0.

Hence x = 0 is the correct answer.
