5^x-2 ×3^2x-3 =135
135 can be written as 5(27)=5(3)^3
5^x-2 ×3^2x-3 =5(3)^3
comparing exponents on both sides
x-2=1          2x-3=3
x=3              2x=6
                       x=3

5^{x - 2}  \times 3^{2x - 3}  = 135 = 5^{x - 2}  \times 3^{2x - 3} = 5 \times  {3}^{3}  \\ =   x  - 2 = 1 \: and \: 2x - 3 = 3 \\  = x = 3
