Find the value of x. 5(x-2)+3(x+1)=25.

Answer:

2(x-2)-3(x-3)=5(x-5)

2x-4–3x+9 = 5x-25 (opening the brackets)

2x-3x-5x = -25–9+4 ( Solving the equation)

-6x= -34+4

-6x = -30

x= -30/-6 = 5

Verification done by substituting the value of x

R.H.S= L.H.S

Ans : 5
