take any of the two teiangles and then use Pythagoras theorem

that means (hyp)^2=(base)^2+(perp)^2
=>15^2=(base)^2+12^2
=>225=(base)^2+144
=> 225-144= (base)^2
=>81=(base)^2
=>under root 3×3×3×3=(base)^2
=>3×3=base
=>9=base or base=9.

since x is the double of 9 because we have calculated only the base of one triangle.
therefore x=2×9
=>x=18 units.
