Answer:

X = 45°

y = 67.5°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given----> x : y = 2 : 3

To find----> Value of x and y .

Solution---> ATQ, x : y = 2 : 3

Let , x = 2p and y = 3p

Now , 2 y = 2 ( 3p )

= 6 p

Now, ∠ AOB , ∠ COB are linear pair of angles ,

∠ AOB = x , and ∠ COB = 2y

Now ,

∠ AOB + ∠ COB = 180° ( linear pair of angles )

=> x + 2y = 180°

=> 2p + 6p = 180°

=> 8p = 180°

=> p = 180° / 8

=> p = 45° / 2

Now x = 2p

= 2 ( 45° / 2 )

= 45°

2y = 6p

= 6 ( 45° / 2 )

2y = 135°

y = 135°/ 2 = 67.5 °
