Find the value of X and angle EAB.
Solution -
In the above figure -
Angle ACB = 46°
But,
Angle AEB = Angle ACB
Therefore -
Angle AEB = 46°
Angle ABD = Angle AEB = Angle ACB = 46° as AB is the common chord.
Angle AFB = 2 × Angle AEB = 92°
Now, Angle CFB = 180° - Angle AFB = 88°
Now let us consider ∆ CFB
Here,
We know that sum of all angles of a triangle = 180°
=> 88° + 2x = 180°
=> 2x = 92°
=> x = 46°
Now,
In ∆ EAB -
We know that sum of all angles of a triangle = 180°
=> Angle EAB + 46° + x ° = 180°
=> Angle EAB + 46° + 46° = 180°
=> Angle EAB = 180° - 92° = 88°
