can be written as

$({2})^{2x} + 6^{x} =( {3})^{2x}$

now taking log both the side.

$\: 2x \: log \: 2 + x \: log \: 6 = 2x \: log \: 3$

now put the values of these sjmple log(s)

$2x \times 0.3010 + x \times 0.778 = 2x \times .0477$

on solving this,

$1.38x = 0.954x \\ x = 0.426$
