Find the value of x and the measures of angles <1, <2, <3, <4 and <5 in the following attached figure, if <1 = (4x + 23)°, <2 = (2x + 1)° and <4 = (3x)°.

Answer:

<1,<2 are complementary

<1+<2=90

(4x+23)+(2x+1)=90

6x+24=90

6x=90-24

6x=66

x=66/6

x=11

<1=4×11+23=67

<2=2×11+1=23

<3=90

<4=3×11=33

<5=90-<4=90-33=57
