2ax-2by+a+4b=0---------eq.1

2bx+2ay+b+4a=0--------eq.2

From eq.1

x=(2by-a-4b)/2a

Step-by-step explanation:

Now,put the value of x in eq.2

2b(2by-a-4b/2a)+2ay+b+4a=0

[(2b^2y-ab-4b^2)/a]+2ay+b+4a=0

2b^2y-ab-4b^2+2a^2y+ab+4a^2=0 [where a≠0]. 2b^2y-4b^2+2a^2y+4a^2=0 y(2b^2+2a^2)=4b^2-4a^2

y=(4b^2-4a^2)/(2b^2-2a^2)

y=4(b^2-a^2)/2(b^2-a^2)

cancelling b^2-a^2

y=4/2

so, y=2

Put the value of y in x=(2by-a-4b)/2a

x=(2×2b-a-4b)/2a

x=(4b-a-4b)/2a

x=-a/2a

so, x=-1/2
