Answer:
2x + 3y = 2 and x - 2y = 8
2x + 3y = 2 (1)
x - 2y = 8 (2)
multiplying (1) by 2 and (2) by 3
4x + 6y = 4
3x — 6y = 24
7x = 28
x = 28/7
x = 4
putting x value in eqution (2)
x — 2y = 8
(4) — 2y = 8
4 — 2y = 8
— 2y = 8 — 4
— 2y = 4
y = 4/-2
y = —2
Hence x = 4 and y = —2
