Answer:

x =15 & y = -8

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN,

2x+3y = 6 ....(i)

3x+5y = 5 ....(ii)

WE HAVE TO FIND : the value of x & y

ON MULTIPLYING 3 INTO (i) AND 2 INTO (ii)--

6x+9y = 18 ....(iii)

6x+10y = 10 ....(iv)

ON SUBSTRACTING (iii) FROM (iv)--

y = 10 - 18

y = - 8

ON PUTTING THE VALUE OF y in (i)--

2x+3×(-8) = 6

=> 2x-24 = 6

=> 2x = 24+6

=> 2x = 30

x = 15

HENCE, x = 15 & y = -8 ANS.
