Frome fig2,

Y=(180-50-60)=70

now, putting value of y,

X=(180-70)=110°

So, X=60°,Y=70°

Now Fig 1,

Y=(360-90-90-80)=100

X=(180-100-50)=30

So,X=30°,Y=100°

(i) y = 80° (Vertically opposite angles)

x = 180° - 80° + 50°

= 180° - 130°

= 50°

(ii) x = 50° + 60° (Exterior angle property)

= 110°

y = 180° - 110° ( Supplementary angels)

= 70°
