since DB=DC ,y=angle DBC.
angle BDC=180-96=84degree.
In triangle DBC.
y+angle DBC +angle BDC=180
2y=180-84
y=48=angle DBC
since angle ABC=90
angle( DBC+DBA)=90
angle DBA=42 (DBC=48)
In triangle BDA,
x+angle DBA +96=180
x=84-42
x=42 degree
therefore x=42 degree and y=48 degree is your answer..
